Key Highlights

Since the previous AMCS Platform release back in January, our world has become dramatically disrupted by COVID-19. Our customers, the industry, your businesses, staff, colleagues, and loved ones are each impacted. We hope that you and your family are doing well and staying healthy and safe during these unprecedented and uncertain times.

From a business standpoint, AMCS will continue to assure continuity of services and the development of our industry-leading integrated Platform. Our global teams of product designers, managers and developers have worked hard to deliver a Platform release that will support your organisation’s evolution and growth.

With the AMCS Platform 8.3 release, the second of three annual releases to the market, our team has delivered new modules, features and enhancements to support all lines of business and user groups. Let’s now journey through the key highlights from this release.



Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI)

We are delighted to announce the launch of the AMCS DataMart as part of the AMCS Analytics solution. As we continually evolve the Platform’s business intelligence and reporting capabilities, the AMCS DataMart will provide customers with unparallel insights and reporting features across each department.

Key highlights:

  • Harvest extensive business intelligence and analytics to drive margins through the AMCS DataMart
  • Gain deeper reporting insights to improve efficiencies through the dedicated Reporting and Analytics Work Centre


Customer Management              

The 8.3 release is transferring increased usability and functionality in AMCS’ Contracts Management and Pricing module to our web-based Platform.  This comprehensive module provides a best-in-class offering to increase the competitiveness, revenue and market share of waste and recycling operators across the globe while guaranteeing and protecting margins.

Key highlights:

  • Streamline the management of customer contracts and hierarchical pricing structures with enhanced workflows and UI improvements
  • Increase visibility into customer activity on the AMCS Customer Portal that can improve cash flow
  • Possibly include: CRM Connector (v1.5) and Customer Portal (v2.1)?




The 8.3 release is providing greater operational visibility into recycling/processing workflows. This is enabling customers to prepare better to meet demands and sales orders and have a comprehensive overview of all materials, and production requirements, in each facility.

Key highlights:

  • Drive inventory efficiencies with improved visibility and management of inventory levels by material and outlet
  • Better manage production shifts (operations) with new features to provide greater clarity, monitoring and increased productivity.
  • Reduce administrative efforts with new functionality to more efficiently manage the receipting of hazardous materials across many outlets.
  • Heighten support for yard inspectors with enhancements to material receipting and enforcement measures in the Grading & Quality module
  • Increase planning efficiencies with further enhancements to the Demand Planning module to ensure an optimum supply of material meet production and sales demands.


Outbound Logistics        

Release 8.3 is bringing more integration and cross-functional visibility between demand planning, inventory management, production shifts and material sales.

Key highlights:

  • Manage the material sales cycle more effectively with greater visibility into material availability and sales orders fulfilment levels.
  • Improve the outbound grading process with added features to collect more information on materials leaving the facility

Weighbridge Operations & Transportation

Compliance and health and safety are reoccurring themes across new features developed across transportation processes. Ensuring faster onboarding and time to value of new drivers is a focus with the new route guidance feature with AMCS Mobile.  

 Key highlights:

  • Provide better oversight and compliance documentation for weighbridge transactions
  • Increase visibility and assure compliance with local market regulations in the material disposal lifecycle
  • Reduce the time to onboard drivers and eliminate collection errors with a new route guidance feature
  • Improve driver safety at sites with the ability to detail potential risks at a customer site level
  • We have updated mobile system alerts and monitoring to diagnose and remedy possible application issues more rapidly within our global customer support organisation
